Your captain will direct you on how to enter the water so that you can see the dolphins at close quarters. It is prohibited to approach or swim towards the dolphins. We interact with dolphins in the most ethical manner possible by swimming parallel to their bodies and inviting them to come towards us.
MAXIMUM 6 guests (including all children) are allowed on each boat. Coast Guard regulations do not allow for more than 13 passengers.
Your captain will take you out to the sea and assist you in finding marine life. This private tour will allow you to control how your tour goes so that it's exactly what you envisioned.

There are many species we see, including starfish, sanddollars bay scallops, whelks conchs upto 21" long, seahorses urchins and hermit crabs. These animals can be brought up to the surface, handled gently, and photographed. We bring large containers so that snorkelers, as well as non-snorkelers, can get close to the animals before they're released into the bay. The shells of non-living creatures can be taken home.
Additionally, we often see manatees. If conditions allow, you may enter the water near manatees, but we practice passive observation and never approach them.
We’ll get you as close to dolphins as we possibly can while also guaranteeing your safety and theirs. Ultimately, it’s up to the dolphins how close they want to get and how much they want to interact. We practice what we call “passive observation,” which means — in simple terms — that we let the dolphins come to us. Our dolphins in St. Andrews Bay are extraordinarily playful and interactive, though, and our guests frequently have amazing encounters they’ll remember the rest of their lives.

Shell Island in Panama City Beach is a great place to see wild dolphin pods. Shell Island, located across the water from Saint Andrew's Park, is 7 miles of incredible beach bliss. This natural wonder is one of the best places in Panama City Beach to see and swim with dolphins.
Dolphins are most likely to be seen when the sun is shining and the water is calm and clear. Feeding activities are typically observed on an incoming tide. Choose a dolphin tour operator that is on the water nearly every day of the year, such as Panama City Beach Dolphin Tours.
